Introducing Awa. This new season collection represents the emerald green rivers of Te Tai Poutini (West Coast of South Island), a place dear to our whānau. We have combined our very own art glass and recycled components to make these special new jewellery pieces.
Kōhatu is Te Reo for stone or rock. Our exquisite Kōhatu necklace resembles flat, smooth and oval-shaped stones that we find along the rivers and beaches in West Coast. The pendant features a vintage 2 cent coin set in a simple brass bezel, and placed in the centre of a large, brass ornate stamping, and a beautiful emerald green glass drop at the bottom.
This pendant is strung on a 75cm brass chain and with brass components, all of which have been undergone an antiquing process. The coins are genuine vintage. Art glass is handcrafted by Selma in our Ōtautahi studio.
